History of the Community Council

Hollis Community Council, Inc.

The Hollis Community Council is registered as a non-profit corporation. It was established in 1987 and registered with the State of Alaska on January 8 of that year. The council works to oversee several committees, management of the volunteer fire department, as well as providing a forum for committee discussion.

Hollis Community Board Vacancy and Write-In Ballot

Date of Notice: July 22, 2026

Notice is hereby given to the members of the Hollis Community that a vacancy exists on

the Board following the resignation of a Board member in June. The Board is seeking to fill

this vacancy in accordance with the Vacancies section of the bylaws.

Voting Information: Voting will take place at the Firehall on August 11, 2026, from 6:30

p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ballots will be counted after the regular meeting begins and before the

treasurer’s report.
